De Leon Area Historical Society-A Voice From the Past

Happy New Year, Everyone! It’s 2026 and the De Leon Area Historical Society is ready to start it off with the first meeting of the year on Monday evening, January 5. A voice from the past will be included in the program , at 5 :30 p.m. at the Museum. James Morgan will be using a recording of his grandfather, George Morgan, who tells of his family’s trip from Alabama to Texas and his life here. George was 80 years old when the recording was made. As always, the meetings are open to anyone who wishes to attend.
