A fried fish meal will be served by the De Leon Area Historical Society on October 10 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. or until the fish is gone. The De Leon Food Pantry is sponsored by the De Leon Ministerial Alliance and Clothes Closet. They distribute boxes of food on the second Tuesday of each month to families who applied for assistance in accordance with the Central Texas Food Bank located in Abilene.
